Trading ideas: Sime Darby, LBS, MyEG, Kimlun


KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Sime Darby, Press Metal, LBS, MRCB, Destini, Kerjaya Prospek, Mitrajaya, MyEG, Chin Hin and Kimlun to attract positive trading interest after they reported an improvement in corporate earnings.

It said on Tuesday other stocks which could see trading interest Sunway, Aeon, UMW, 7-Eleven, OCK, TSH, UEM Sunrise, Protasco and JAKS Resources.

JF Apex Research said  Titijaya Land is buying a company that owns three plots of leasehold land in Sabah, measuring 75.44 acres for RM70.9il. 
It is partnering China Railway Engineering Ltd to undertake a mixed-use project on one of the plots.

As for TDM, the group is buying additional stake in an oil palm plantation in Terengganu from its parent, as the company seeks majority control of the estate.

Overnight on Wall Street, US markets edged slightly higher as investors braced for a speech from President Donald Trump at Congress. European stocks ended mixed amid corporate earnings announcements.
 
At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI surrendered intra-day gains to close 4.51 points lower at 1,693.84. 

“Following the mixed performance in the US and Europe, the FBM KLCI could remain pressured with support at 1,680,” it said.
