Remedy for Asiamet Education Group turnaround plan

WITH the upcoming proposed corporate exercise in Asiamet Education Group Bhd (AEGB), Tan Sri Dr R. Palan is set to take charge, hitting the accelerator in his pursuit of expansion in the education business.

AEGB has announced its plan to acquire CUCMS Education Sdn Bhd (CESB) which manages the Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS). Post-acquisition, AEGB will effectively own two varsities – CUCMS and Asia Metropolitan University, which it already owns at present.
