Wah Seong subsidiary bags RM166m Schneider job


KUALA LUMPUR: Wah Seong Corporation Bhd's subsidiary has secured a US$41.24mil (RM166.7mil) contract from  Schneider Electric France SAS to build seven pre-fabricated sub-stations in Kazakhstan.

Wah Seong, an oil and gas related company, said on Thursday its indirect subsidiary PT. Wasco Engineering Indonesia was awarded the contract.

“The scope of work of the subcontract involves 3D modelling, structural analysis and design, blast wall design and design of all ancillary system such as lighting, safety, fire and gas detection,” it said. 

Wah Seong added work was expected to start ijn the third quarter of 2016 and completed by Dec 31, 2018.

The subcontract was to provide engineering, design, fabrication and construction services for the oil and gas industry.
