Genting Q1 net profit falls to RM131mil


Genting Malaysia expected Resorts World Genting (RWG) to record 30 million visitors annually by 2020, due to the anticipated rise in gaming capacity from the company

PETALING JAYA: Genting Bhd’s net profit for the first quarter ended March 31 fell to RM130.8mil from RM620.1mil a year ago on lower percentage contribution from premium players at its operations in Malaysia and Singapore.

Earnings were also affected by the lack of one-off gains that had boosted last year’s performance.
