PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Palm Oil Association (MPOA) has appealed to the Government to lift the freeze on the recruitment of foreign workers to maximise productivity during the forthcoming peak crop and into the second half of the year.
The association, on behalf of all growers including more than 300,000 small holders, said in a statement yesterday that it was thankful that the proposed workers’ levy of RM1500 had been revised to RM640 per worker.
