Scientex Q2FY16 net profit rises 79% to RM64.6mil

Scientex was among the top gainers as investors were positive about its purchase of Mondi Ipoh Sdn Bhd (MISB) for RM58mil cash to expand its consumer packaging division.

KUALA LUMPUR : Packaging firm Scientex Bhd reported a net profit of RM64.6mil in the second quarter for the financial period ended July 31, 2016 (FY16), or a 79% increase from RM36.05mil over the same period last year.
