Pharmaceutical product maker CCM Duopharma Biotech Bhd is investing RM140.8mil to construct a new state-of-the-art plant and warehouse in Klang to meet the current operational demand and to expand into specialty products. Pharmaniaga Bhd has increased its shareholding in PT Errita Pharma, which makes and sells pharmaceutical products in Indonesia, from 75% to 85% by paying US$2.4mil (RM9.62mil) and 6.683 billion rupiah (RM2.03mil) to vendor PT Dasar Technologi.

Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd’s net profit for its fourth quarter ended Jan 31, 2016 jumped 47% to RM203.77mil from RM139.97mil in the previous corresponding period. This was mainly due to an increase in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) of RM27mil and a lower net finance cost of RM30mil. Read more
