Oji Papers receives acceptance of 94.7% for United Kotak takeover


KUALA LUMPUR: Oji Paper Asia Sdn Bhd (OPA) has received acceptances amounting to 94.69% of United Kotak Bhd's shares, as at Dec 31 last year, the closing date of the takeover offer.

It represented 42.54 million shares at an offer price of RM1.40 each, OPA said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia.

On Oct 12 last year, OPA made a conditional takeover offer to United Kotak, to acquire all the voting shares in the company.

The offer is for 44.9 million shares in United Kotak in a transaction that could reach the RM62.86 million mark.- BERNAMA
