Stay tuned: Samsung is expected to reveal more goodies for the Friday launch.

The Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ which were revealed earlier this month in New York will be arriving on our shores on Sept 4.

The Note 5 will retail for RM2,699 for the 32GB storage option and come in two colours – Gold Platinum and White Pearl. The S6 Edge+ will go for RM3,099 for the 32GB option and also come in two colours –  Gold Platinum and Black Sapphire. The prices are inclusive of GST.

The company says the new devices are its response to the market’s demand for large screen mobile phones.

Engineered to help people get more done faster, the Note 5 includes an all-new S Pen that feels more solid and balanced in the user’s hand.

A new feature called Screen-off Memo will allow users to jot notes instantly anytime, anywhere, and even when the screen is off. Screen Write, on the other hand, will allow users to capture and combine multiple screenshots for easy reading, editing and sharing.

Moving on, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ has a bigger screen than its predecessor – 5.7in vs 5.3in – and a much sturdier body made from “aluminium 7000”.

The curved screen, which goes all the way to the sides, allows users to quickly access their favourite contacts and apps.
