SIZE ISN'T EVERYTHING: Start-ups will play a huge role in the development of the IoT

Humble individuals and start-ups not huge enterprises, will drive growth in the Internet of Things (IoT) through the creation of niche applications, according to Gartner, Inc.

Gartner predicts that by 2017, 50% of IoT solutions will originate from start-ups that are less than three years old.
