French developer Ubisoft unveiled a string of blockbuster titles to a packed theatre in Los Angeles at E3.
We got to see many of the company’s upcoming games, including Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, Tom Clancy’s The Division, The Crew and Siege, a new Rainbow Six title.
The next chapter in the popular Assassin’s Creed series will transport players to Paris during the height of the French Revolution.
Players will get to see 18th century France from the perspective of Arno, a young assassin who must help overthrow an oppressive regime. You will also get to take part in historic events such as the storming of the Bastille and execution of King Louis XVI.
Your battle won’t be fought alone, as one of the biggest new features of the game is the inclusion of a four player co-op mode where friends can tackle missions together.
The game is headed for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
Ubisoft also introduced Just Dance 2015, the sixth installment to the rhythm based dancing game where players have to mimic the dance moves shown on screen.
The game will, of course, feature an updated track list that will include popular songs like Pharrell Williams’ Happy, Ylvis’ The Fox and Ellie Goulding’s Burn.
Just Dance 2015 has an October release date and will make an appearance on almost every major console.
If you ever dreamed of taking a road trip through the United States but don’t have the time or money, perhaps a virtual run from the East coast to West is what you need.
Ubisoft’s ambitious massive multiplayer online (MMO) driving game, The Crew, sets players loose on a massive open-world recreation of the United States with dynamic environments such as snowy mountain peaks and off-road dessert races.
The game will be released on Nov 11 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Ubisoft has cancelled Rainbow 6: Patriots but a new title is taking its place — Rainbow 6: Siege — which is more like the early games in the series and allows players to plan before storming a building.
Players will be able to choose the insertion point, as well as utilise high tech gadgets like remote drones to get the drop on enemies.
Ubisoft says Siege will released in 2015 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Throughout the week Ubisoft will be showcasing its games at their E3 booth. Be sure to check back for our impressions on its latest games.
