Khairul to sail through pain for Asiad medal

Malaysian Laser sailor Khairulnizam Mohd Afendy broke his toenail last week in Spain and will have to endure the pain when he begins his competition at the Incheon Asian Games next Wednesday.

INCHEON: Pain is the last thing on Malaysian Laser sailor Khairulnizam Mohd Afendy’s mind when he takes his boat out to sea in Incheon next week.

Khairulnizam’s left toenail came off after he knocked into a food trolley three days before he started his campaign in the World Sailing Championships in Santander, Spain, last week.
