Rhythmic gymnastics: Shasangari shines with two golds


KUALA LUMPUR: National junior Shasangari Sivaneswary hit her stride beautifully to clinch two gold medals on the opening day of the Gymnastics Carnival Intercity Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition at Gym 1 in Bukit Jalil.

The 14-year-old was the runway winner in the hoop on Saturday, coolly scoring 13.966 points to finish ahead of compatriot Izzah Amzan (11.500). Japan’s Akari Dozono (13.033) took the bronze.
