JOHOR BARU: Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) have laid an early marker in the race for the coveted Malaysia Cup.

The Southern Tigers underlined their title credentials by fielding an under-strength team against Perak at the Larkin Stadium on Friday– and still sauntered to a 2-0 win in their Group B opener.
