PETALING JAYA: Malaysia have called up Melbourne-based cyclist Jupha Somnet to boost their bid to end a decade-long gold medal drought in the road discipline at the Singapore SEA Games next month.

There will be no track cycling events at the Singapore SEA Games and the 22-year-old has got the nod from track coach John Beasley to represent Malaysia in the 114km individual road race and criterium events at Marina Bay South.
