Guan Eng under fire over UEC remark


GEORGE TOWN: Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng (pic) has come under fire for claiming that the state government recognised the Unified Examinations Certificate (UEC), just because a UEC graduate was hired as the general ma­nager of the Penang Green Council (PGC).

MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong lambasted Lim for making the claim, saying the council was actually a private company called PGC Strategies Sdn Bhd.
