Health Ministry: No import of contaminated peanut butter


PETALING JAYA: A batch of Skippy peanut butter that was recalled in seven states in America due to the presence of metal shavings was never imported into Malaysia.

Health Ministry director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said they took note of the report from the U.S. Food and Drug Administation (USFDA) about the voluntary product recall by Hormel Foods LLC of the SKIPPY Reduced Fat Creamy Peanut Butter that was distributed in seven American states.
