Boy who never went to school found dead

GEORGE TOWN: A 13-year-old boy was found sprawled on the ground floor of a condominium block in Jalan Mayang Pasir 3, Bayan Baru, here.

Apparently, Lee Tu Xuan, who had never been to school, was put under the care of his uncle and aunt since he was a 10-month-old baby.

His parents, who are working in the Klang Valley, were said to have rushed back to Penang after being told of their son’s death yesterday.

Some relatives who were at the Penang Hospital mortuary to claim Tu Xuan’s body were too distraught to speak to reporters.

Balik Pulau OCPD Supt Lai Fah Hin said the boy was believed to have fallen from the eighth floor of the condominium.

“He had never been to school,” he said.

“When we asked the uncle, he told us that the boy was not interested in school.”

Lee died of multiple injuries due to the fall during the incident in the wee hours of the morning.

Police have since classified the case as sudden death.
