Seri Alam Deputy OCPD Supt Norazam Shaari said that the police received information about an abandoned Mercedez Benz near Pasir Gudang at about 2.45pm on Sunday, which prompted the search to be carried out.

“Initial investigations showed that the driver could have fallen into the river and started a search for him with help from other enforcement departments and agencies,” he told reporters here on Tuesday.

He added that deceased, who was identified as Chua Sew Wah, 58, from Masai was found at about 1.45pm yesterday near the mangroves along the river.
