Sting raids six drug dens, 81 nabbed

ALOR SETAR: Bukit Aman's Special Tactical Intelligence Narcotics Group (Sting) raided six drug dens and arrested 81 addicts in Pokok Sena near here.

The raid, tagged Ops Sarang II, was a joint operation involving 160 officers and personnel from Sting, the state's narcotics crime investigation department, state anti-drugs agency (AADK) and the Kota Setar narcotics investigation department.

Sting deputy commander SAC Datuk Abdul Jalil Hassan said Ops Sarang II was conducted on Monday night.

"81 drug addicts (78 men and 3 women) were arrested with various drug offences during the ops,"

"Drugs seized were 9.66g of heroin, 2.27g of syabu, 1.3kg of cannabis, 2kg of ketum leaves and two litres of ketum juice," said Abdul Jalil.
