Cop injured in roadblock incident

The policeman suffered head injuries after the collision and was sent to Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia for treatment.

KAJANG: A motorcyclist rammed into a policeman while trying to escape a roadblock at Batu 10, Jalan Cheras here.

The 25-year-old man fell and was arrested while Kons Mohd Rizzuad, 29, suffered head injuries in the 11.45am incident.

District police chief Asst Comm Willey Richard said the motorcyclist's road tax had expired when he tried to evade the police.

"The policeman, the motorcyclist and his pillion rider fell during the collision," he added.

ACP Willey said Kons Mohd Rizzuad was sent to Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia for treatment. He is in stable condition.

The case is being investigated for attempted murder.
