Desperate wife seeks PM’s help to release hubby

KUALA LUMPUR: Chin Pek Nyuen (pic), the wife of kidnapped fish breeder Chan Sai Chiun, is desperate. She has only raised RM100,000 of the RM3mil ransom demanded by his captors.

She fears for her husband’s life as the Nov 30 deadline to hand over the ransom is near. The kidnappers, Abu Sayyaf members holed up in the southern Philippines, have threatened to send his head to her if she does not pay up.
