Nurul Izzah insisted on divorcing husband, states reconciliation report

KUALA LUMPUR: Attempts at a reconciliation between Nurul Izzah Anwar and her husband Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar Raja Salim failed as the Lembah Pantai MP insisted on pressing ahead with the divorce, according to a reconciliation committee report.

In the report, read out in the Lower Syariah Court here by judge Ab Malek Awang, Nurul Izzah's representative Rosli Ibrahim said efforts to reconcile the couple turned futile as Nurul Izzah wanted to proceed with the divorce.
