ALOR SETAR: A 19-year-old boy was charged on Tuesday with murdering a 14-year-old girl.
Mohd Firdaus Mohd Faridul from Kampung Alor Semela here was charged with murdering Norsyafika Nadia Abdullah between 9.30pm and 11.30pm at Kampung Alor Senibong on Nov 29, last year.
No plea was recorded.
Majistrate Mohd Khairul Hafizuddin Ramli fixed March 4, for next mention.
Norsyafika Nadia was found dead in a padi field on Nov 30, after she was reported missing with her two younger sisters Nur Izzati Husna Rusdi, 12, and Puteri Nurul Akma Rusdi, three.
Her two sisters' bodies were found in a canal in Kampung Padang Petani on Dec 1.
It is learnt the same youth is expected to be charged with the murder of the two sisters on a later date.
Meanwhile, a 19-year-old youth who was earlier detained with Mohd Firdaus was release on police bail after his remand expired on Tuesday
