JAWI scripts on a school signboard in Bukit Mertajam caused a stir among some educationists, Kosmo! reported.
However, Penang education director Datuk Ahmad Tarmizi Kamaruddin said there was no reason to remove the script or replace the signboard at the SM Convent as the writings had no religious connotation.
