Selangor govt orders Jais to check if seized Bibles comply with 10-point solution

Shah Alam: The Selangor state government has ordered Jais to confer with the Home Ministry to find out if the Bibles seized from the Bible Society of Malaysia last week complied with the Federal Government's 10-Point Solution, and to return them if they do.

Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim said that if the Bibles met the criteria set by the 10-Point Solution, Jais will be asked to return them to the Society.

He said the standard operating procedure currently used by Jais had also been revamped and minuted during the exco meeting on Wednesday.

On another matter, Khalid said the Selangor government was committed in its efforts towards restructuring Selangor's water industry.

He added that since the state's 'willing buyer, willing seller' approach with the concessionaires had failed, the state was willing to fully corporate with the Federal Government.

However, Khalid added that there were several conditions imposed by the state and one of it was for the appointment if two administrators from the state to manage the water industry as Selangor owned a big portion of it.

The two administrators are state-owned Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Bhd's president Suhaimi Kamaralzaman and Mentri Besar Incorporated chief executive officer Faekah Husin.
