GEORGE TOWN: The High Court on Wednesday enhanced the jail sentence meted out by a lower court to a former police sergeant who was found guilty of committing incest on his stepdaughter two years ago.
Justice Datuk Zamani Abdul Rahim increased by six years to 18 years the jail sentence handed down by the Sessions Court last May to Idrus Ayob, 56, when he allowed the appeal by the prosecution.
