1.4 million Bangladeshis vied for 10,000 jobs in Malaysia


SOME 1.4 million Bangladesh workers have applied to work in Malaysia under the government-to-government (G2G) initiative but only 500,000 are qualified for work in the plantation sector.

High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh Norlin Othman said after a screening by the Bangladeshi Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training, only 500,000 who applied online were qualified for jobs in the plantation sector.
