ALOR SETAR: Wanita MCA vice-chairman Datuk Heng Seai Kie has large shoes to fill in the Padang Serai parliamentary seat after two of her predecessors in the wing successfully contested the seat.
“Let's hope the tradition continues,” said Heng, referring to the fact that Kedah Wanita MCA chief Datuk Lim Lay Hoon held the seat from 1990 to 1999 and was succeeded by her deputy Datuk Lim Bee Kau who won the seat in 1999 and 2004.
