Sarawak Energy appeals to aluminium industry to support hydropower

KUCHING: Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) has appealed to the global aluminium industry to support the development of hydropowers in the Asean region.

The state’s sole power provider made the call on Tuesday at the World Aluminium Congress in HongKong. Benchmarking Sarawak Energy’s focus on hydropower as a clean and sustainable source of energy, its chief executive officer Datuk Torstein Dale Sjotveit said the development of hydropowers was cost-effective for consumers in the region.
