Bitumen suitable for Malaysian climate introduced


KOTA KINABALU: A new grade of bitumen that is designed to be more suitable for the Malaysian climate has been introduced in Sabah.

Shell Bitumen’s general Mmanager of Bitumen Technology Professor John Read said the new 60/70 bitumen grade has a higher tolerance to higher temperatures and better resistance to road deformation than the traditional 80/100 grade currently used in Malaysia.
