Tender documents for RM9bil LRT3 project ready for collection

KUALA LUMPUR: Tender documents for pre-qualified contractors bidding to be a project delivery partner (PDP) for the new Klang Valley LRT Line 3 (LRT3) are ready for collection, said project owner Prasarana Malaysia Bhd.

In a statement on Thursday, Prasarana group managing director Azmi Abdul Aziz said the pre-qualified contractors had been notified to collect the tender documents at its headquarters here from Wednesday.

“Several of the contractors collected the documents yesterday (Wednesday) and have until noon on June 9, 2015, to submit their proposals to Prasarana for the assignment,” he added.

The proposed alignment of the LRT3 is currently being finalised by the Land Public Transport Commission.

“The LRT3 aims to connect Bandar Utama to Klang with a total distance of 36km and will comprise 25 new stations. Construction is scheduled to commence in 2016 once all necessary approvals by the authorities are obtained and is expected to be completed by 2020,” said Prasarana. - Bernama
