KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI extended its gains in early Wednesday trade on rising investor risk appetite, mirroring the firmer overnight close on Wall Street, while penny stocks continued to attract heavy trading interest.
At 9.31am, the FBM KLCI was up 5.52 points to 1,877.68. Turnover was 1.06 billion shares valued at RM299.23mil. Gainers led losers 274 to 196 while 290 counters were unchanged.
