Malaysia GDP to exceed 5.5% in 2014, says Zeti


KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara Malaysia expects the country's economy to exceed 5.5% for this year due to the strong performance recorded in the first six months of 2014, said Governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz.

She said Malaysia registered a strong performance with a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of 6.3% for the first half of 2014, compared with 5.5% recorded in the same period a year ago.
