Ship fire delays Sabah project


KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd expects delays in the Sabah ammonia and urea project in Sipitang after fire broke out on a ship transporting equipment.

It said the incident has caused disruption in the delivery of critical equipment to be used in the project, “consequently leading to potential project execution delays.”

Petronas Chemicals said investigations were under way to ascertain the cause of the fire and the impact of the disruption to the project.
