The power giant said the Sukuk was issued by its unit, TNB Western Energy Bhd, based on the Shariah principles of Ijarah and Wakalah.
According to a statement issued on Dec 13, 2013, Tenaga had stated the proposed Sukuk would be issued in one lump sum with tenures of up to 27 years from the date of issuance.
