The Consumer Technology Association forecasts that US consumers will buy a combined 29 million smart home products over the coming year

The buzz around the Internet of Things is still bigger than its addressable market but thanks to the roll out of Google's Home Assistant and Amazon's Dot and Echo devices, 2017 is expected to be the year where people start opening their front doors and welcoming connected devices into their homes.
