SIM city: The number of fraudulently registered prepaid SIM cards are on the rise

PETALING JAYA: False registration of prepaid SIM cards are on the rise, says the Consumer and Multimedia Consumer Forum of Malaysia (CFM).

According to CFM, which was established by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) as the body to protect consumer rights in its sector, the number of complaints has gone up from just 31 in 2014 to 89 in 2015, an increase of 187%.
