Kei to take on Benneteau for Malaysian Open title (updated)

KUALA LUMPUR: World No. 28 Julien Benneteau will be hoping that third time’s the charm when he faces top seed Kei Nishikori in the final of the Malaysian Open tennis tournament on Sunday.

The 32-year-old Frenchman is just a victory away from claiming his maiden ATP World Tour title after ousting Latvian second seed Ernests Gulbis 6-4, 6-4 in an 80-minute semi-final clash at the Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Saturday.
