PETALING JAYA: It’s not everyday a Malaysian swimmer gets the better of an Olympic champion.

Welson Sim (pic) did just that when he beat local favourite Mack Horton to the silver medal in the 400m freestyle final at the Victorian Open Championships at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on Friday.
