Hurricanes assistant Plumtree turns down Highlanders job

WELLINGTON (Reuters) - Hurricanes assistant John Plumtree has turned down an approach from the Otago Highlanders to succeed their coach Jamie Joseph and has re-signed with the Wellington team until 2018.

Joseph is leaving the Super Rugby champions at the end of the season to take over as head coach of Japan and Plumtree was linked with the job earlier this week.
