KUALA LUMPUR: There’s no way Nicol David would let Camille Serme spoil her birthday.

The Malaysian world No. 3, who turned 33 yesterday, made sure of that by storming into the semi-finals of the Hong Kong Open squash championships with a hard-fought 11-8, 13-11, 7-11, 11-2 win over France’s sixth-seeded Serme.
