Alice in wonderland for debut in world table tennis meet

KUALA LUMPUR: Alice Chang Li Sian is only 15, but she has already beaten the country’s top two paddlers to be crowned the national champion.

The lanky Kuching-born player defeated national No. 2 Ho Ying 3-1 in the quarter-finals of the national championships in Mentakab, Pahang, last December. She went on to beat Ting Hie Ping 4-0 in the semi-finals and national No. 1 and Singapore SEA Games individual silver medallist Ng Sock Khim 4-3 in the final.
