Two new faces to carry Malaysia's challenge in Gold Coast

National Lawn Bowler Emma Firyana Saroji crowned women’s world champion in Australia at the Helensvale Bowls Club on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

PETALING JAYA: National lawn bowlers Mohd Soufi Rusli and Syafiqah Haidar Afif Abdul Rahman have been picked to compete in the World Champion of Champions in Gold Coast, Australia, in November.

Malaysia Lawn Bowls Federation (MLBF) secretary Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Zin said the two up-and-coming players had upstaged the seasoned hands at the just-concluded Champion of Champions competition at the Bayuemas Indoor Bowls Stadium in Pandamaran, Klang.
