PUTRAJAYA: Thailand Polo Club made full use of their exceptional skills to beat Ranhill Polo Club 10-4 and capture the Malaysian Open Polo Cup at the Putrajaya Equestrian Park here yesterday.
Ranhill found the going tough right after the hooter sounded, signalling the start of the match.
Argentinean import Carlos Pando, who scored eight of the 10 goals for the visitors, was undoubtedly the most outstanding player on the field and he was able to outmanoeuvre Ranhill players time after time.
Jogo Polo Club, spearheaded by Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin, bagged the Prime Minister’s Cup after beating Royal Pahang Polo Club 5-3. – Bernama
