Alex wins Audi LMS Cup title in Abu Dhabi


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s Alex Yoong was crowned overall champion of the Audi R8 LMS Cup after securing victory in the final race in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.

It took the 12th and final race on Sunday to decide the battle for the title between Alex and Macau’s Andre Couto. Couto started from pole with the maximum weight ballast of 60kg. Alex, driving for Audi Teda Racing Team, was second on the grid and thus had a weight advantage.
