PETALING JAYA: National player Azrif Nasrulhaq’s wish has come true.

The FA of Selangor (FAS) have agreed to release the nippy winger to join Super League champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) for an undisclosed sum.

Azrif, who has never hid his desire to join the Southern Tigers, had tried to buy out his contract with the Red Giants twice, but was rejected on both occasions.

On Thursday, Selangor manager Amiruddin Shari said that they had finally come to an agreement.

“We have reached an agreement with JDT over Azrif. We are satisfied with the terms and transfer fee, but will not reveal it so as to respect the wishes of all parties. We thank Azrif for his time here,” said Amiruddin in a statement.

In January, the 25-year-old Azrif was photographed posing in a JDT jersey.

The FAS accused JDT of tapping up their player. JDT apologised for the illegal approach and fired their talent scout for misleading the management to sign the former Harimau Muda starlet.
