Afiq-Khairul have a mountain to climb after tepid show in Rio

PETALING JAYA: Blind cyclist Afiq Afify Rizan and pilot Mohd Khairul Adha Rasol have their work cut out for them in next month’s Gold Coast Common-wealth Games after failing to get on the podium in the Para Cycling Track World Champion-ships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Afiq-Khairul fired blanks in Rio on Sunday – a far cry from the bronze they won in the men’s tandem (B) sprint event in the world meet in Los Angeles, the United States, last year.
