Wei Feng brings Chi Wing down to earth in Purple League

Chong Wei Feng retrieves a shot from Lim Chin Wing as he helped Puchong United BC to claim a 10-9 win over his former team Kepong BC in the Purple League clash at the Gem In Mall in Cyberjaya yesterday.

PETALING JAYA: Chong Wei Feng exacted sweet revenge on Lim Chi Wing as he steered Puchong United Badminton Club to a 10-9 win over Kepong Badminton Club in the SS Purple League.

The 29-year-old former international was the overwhelming favourite to win his second national men’s singles crown at the National Circuit Grand Prix Finals two weeks ago, but was beaten by Chi Wing for a place in the semi-finals. The 21-year-old Chi Wing went on to become the national champion for the first time.
