PETALING JAYA: India’s Saina Nehwal ended her wretched run of form by sensationally clinching the women’s singles title at the India Open GP Gold badminton championships in Lucknow.
The 23-year-old Saina, who won four titles and the Olympic bronze in 2012, ended a 14-month title drought by beating P. V. Sindhu 21-14, 21-17 in the all-Indian final on Sunday.
